Don't really know why 2 paths were needed but alas. There is also one more to the left that is not visible.

Isn't it beautiful how they join? They could be straight but chose to combine.

You paint a pretty narrative. But sadly it is one path splitting into 2 and not 2 combining into one. The right fork has been there for over 10 years and the left one is younger than 2 years.
