Just watched the highlights. England's defending was dire in the first half (except for Williamson, she was still good). It was like they weren't close to being on the same wavelength. And Hampton's positioning was off for both Sweden's goals.

England did better with defending in the second half overall (though there were still a couple of big brain farts back there). But Chloe Kelly was massive with those two crosses. What a player!

I think those two goals broke Sweden. They had chances to get more goals but they kept choking. England also squandered some good chances.

And yes, the penalties were terrible from both sides. Fair play to both keepers for the saves, but the penalty takers didn't make it as difficult for them as they should have.

England will need to do a hell of a lot better in the semis if we want to proceed.
