I haven't seen it yet (planning to start binging tonight), but I'm stoked at all the positive reviews online.

My wife and I are currently binging the anime series because she's never seen it before and she wanted to have a sense of the show before diving into a live action adaptation.

We're watching it in Japanese though. I lived in Japan for a few years, so watching anime in English is just weird to me. It loses some of the cultural context when it gets translated. I hope the English live action show isn't too jarring compared to the original Japanese anime.

EDIT: I went to a convention cosplaying as Luffy a few years ago and I ran into Colleen Clinkenbeard. She was excited to see my outfit and I got a bunch of pictures with her, but I had no idea who she was. Found out later she was the English voice of Luffy. I've never seen One Piece in English, so I didn't recognize her at all.
