Chipolo was mentioned in the Find My Device presentation during IO 23. Looking into them I found that they're based in Slovenia. That puts them firmly under EU privacy and general regulation. If you're in the market for such a device, this might not be a bad option. I'm currently using Tile but I pre-ordered Chipolo to try.

I hate how literally no websites ever clarify, but what is the price? I see $77. $77 what? USD? CAD? I am unsure if this website is converting to my currency (CAD) or if it's USD?

Think I'm going to hold off until the next Google hardware event, there are rumoured to be UWB trackers in the works

What makes UWB better than this? Just the fact that UWB can pinpoint the exact location? or are you just more interested in official Google offerings?

I picked up a 4 pack of these because they are currently 30% off pre-order. I suspect Googles version will be "premium" like Apple, and they'll cost more.

They're pretty cheap on ebay, new.

Not the Chipolo Point though, which is the model that uses the Android Find My Device network.
