Do you really think that Sony will actually back down? They are calming down the shitstorm that is going over all media, socials and steam. They'll reorganize and will move on with their plans. Arrowhead and Helldivers is just one of many assets.

It's still packaged with that awful and invasive nProtect GameGuard garbage though, so be be aware of what you're buying before you make the choice.

Or just run linux. While that comes with other potential issues... Anti-cheat isn't one of them. Either the game doesn't work (and thus safe from the terribad rootkits), or the "anti-cheat" is stuck in it's sandbox(and thus safe from the rootkit).
