Beautiful! I almost got one of these, but I went with the 1CJF variant for the blue outline. Great watch.

I love this watch! Just wear it and forget, never thinking about having to charge it. One thing that i miss is a vibrating motor for the alarm. I know other models have that, but i miss it on this one.

Digital Casios are the perfect platonic ideal of a watch. They do everything needed and nothing else.

Oh I'm jealous! Too bad my wrist is too small for G-Shock.

Is a baby-g also to big? I know, their name is completely wrong

Temptation, I smite thee!

Seriously though, it's only a day ago I bought a new watch and I am already looking at Baby-G listing. I really need to control myself. πŸ₯΄

I'm wearing the gwm 5610u right now and it's pretty small. I'm sure it will fit your wrist. I love the form factor.

Thank you, I'll keep it in consideration when I am selecting a new watch βŒšπŸ’ΈπŸ«£

Is that a nato strap? How do you like it? Been thinking of getting one.

Yes it's a 22 mm nato. Much better then the original strap. Jays and Kays strapadapters, after I bought these I discovered that they also have adapters for 20 mm, so can can use the straps with more watches. Instead of starting at "12" I started at "6" to mount the strap, looks better

Do you have any complaints about the 5610u? I've heard the display can be hard to see and that the beeps are very low audible.

[–] Dutchie@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Display is good to read. The alarm beeps are useless, you can only hear them with the watch close to your ear, but that seems to be with almost all G-shocks.

I had a gshock one time and the beep was adequate for me. Hopefully it won't be too bad.

I am about to buy a gwm 5610u, jays and kays 22mm, and thinking of nato and perlon straps from either crowns and buckles or CNS, but I hear crowns and buckles is better so I might shell out for the extra cost.

What nato strap do you use? Any recommendations?
