Why is every outlet wording it like this? We don't say a pedestrian dented a cars bumper. Or the victim successfully stopped 3 bullets.
The drone was relatively stationary. The plane hit the drone.
Because frankly we do not give a shit about the condition of the drone and it almost certainly shouldn't have been there. If there's a car parked in the middle of a high speed road at night with no lights, that will be reported as the stationary car's fault too when someone hits it
