That's why I just use my own KeePass database synced over Dropbox. Zero issues, it's free and nobody is targeting it. Even if someone got access to my Dropbox they'd still have to crack the encryption.

KeePass + Syncthing

Avoid cloud services all together.

gnupass + git repos works great.

Yup. Been using it for years. It's fantastic.

Same setup. Works great.

Yet more reasons why people should stop using LastPass... I finally switched to Bitwarden after getting tired of having to choose between using it on mobile or desktop. Got out before the hack. I'm going to work on transferring my data again to a self hosted Bitwarden

Why is anyone using LastPass anymore...?

Convenience and platform inertia. Same with most shitty cloud services.

LastPass is just producing bad news after bad news. Incredible how incompetent these guys are.

Glad I got out when I did. Wish I could convince my employer to do the same.

LastPass has a section on their Wikipedia entry with eight subsections titled Security Incidents. That alone should give anyone who's thinking about trusting them with some of their most important information pause.
