How to install cracked software (lemmy.world)

I recently downloaded After Effects from 4DOWNLOAD, and I tried to install it. But when it installs and I execute the program, it still asks me the Adobe ID, the program is NOT pre-cracked, so I suppose I didn't crack it succesfully, and the web doesn't have any specific instructions, that's why i'm asking here.

The downloaded folder has 2 folders, "setup" and "crack". Maybe I have to put the "crack" files (wich are a bunch of dll) on the setup folder? Do I need WiFi turned off / use a firewall to use cracked software (in general)? If someone can help me giving like a general set of instructions that work in most cracked software (not pre-cracked) I would appreciate it a lot. Thank you!

P.S. - Also, just another dumb question, when a software IS precracked. I just need to install it, right? And when it is a patch, what do I need to do?

I have not cracked or downloaded cracked software in a very long time for PC, but in the past you used to replace the provided crack files with the ones that where created during setup. I'd run the setup as it is, then check the installation directory and find the files inside the crack folder and just replace them.

The path to free adobe software is in GenP, here have a guide (it's got other patching methods).

Otherwise most download websites like 4download have "Portable" versions that you just extract and run. I find the site appnee.com is good for those. (but i do find portable ones are often slower maybe it was just me).

You are correct most often precracked just need to be installed, look for the download page for instructions if there's no readme. Patches are often .exe's that you run and cracks are files you can drag and drop into the installation folder (there are exceptions of course)
