It'd be nice to start a thread that has a lot of info for people who are looking for reviews or recommendations.

For instance, https://sff180.com/ does a solid job, particularly with their youtube channel, of keeping me informed about books that are coming out. Where do you go for your info?

Besides knowing a lot of authors and then checking out their new works I sometimes browse book publisher websites such as www.tor.com for new releases.

My goal was to put together a large post about where to get started and how to find things, but if someone else wants to take on that challenge that would be great.

We can also use this thread to gather some resources and then I can write a more comprehensive post with all of that information.

I recently picked up a huge stack of old 2014s Asimov at half price books. Was fun to find a bunch of new authors that way, and felt connected to how scifi was published back when in serials

Before I was looking at reddit in the books subreddit or fantasy etc. Big releases were usually posted there. Rn idk
