I just added a bunch of community subscriptions via the webpage of my instance (lemmy.fmhy.ml) and they are visible there. But going to thunder they do not show up.

I logged out and back in, no change. I opened a different app I use, Voyager, there I see the communities as well. Is there a way to get them to update in thunder?

Are you subscribed to more than 50 communities? Thunder has a bug where it only shows 50 subs. It used to be worse as it was set to 10

Yeah, that sounds likely then. Got many communities who are the same but are on different instances. Hope that limit is upped further, 50 is still quite low. I had subscribed to more subreddits on reddit than that.

This is something that is being worked on! Ideally, the long term plan is to have a revamp of the subscription lists but for the moment, I'll work on increasing this

It is a known issue. What you are likely to find if you look is that 50 of your subs will load but they will be somewhat different each time. Sometimes one will load while others it wont. But you can still access it if you can find a post from it in the feed.

Ok, it seems they show up if I look at subscriptions and they have posts that would show up there. But they do not show up in the list of subscriptions in the sidebar.

Can happily say this seems fixed in the latest alpha version! Thanks!

Try clearing the app's cache and all its data. Then log in again.
