I've heard this claim before that it is not possible for atheists to have "objective moral beliefs" because many moral claims are based on religious authority, which atheists do not believe in.

Thus atheists are subjectivists when it comes to morality: each atheist may disagree with the other about what is moral. Obviously this opens atheists up to problems of disagreements, with some who might believe very conventionally "immoral" things are acceptable for them.

This is not of course to say that atheists may not choose to live lives that are some what "moral" (moral, as is often defined by religions)

So, what's the status of the idea of "objective morality" and atheism?

So assume three lanes (or more), I guess in some places (everywhere in the U.S.?) the person in the left most lane has the right of way to merge right into a center lane if there is another car that wants to also merge into the center lane from a right lane.

My solution to this is ideally people shouldn't merge if there's a car over directly a couple lanes, but to try to either speed up or slow down to "stagger" the cars so that if you were to merge to center or the other car did, they wouldn't collide with you or you with them.

Is this a standard solved problem on the highways beyond what I've described?

"genuine" Something that is genuine is real and authentic, not fake or a copy. It can also describe someone who is sincere and honest and not pretending to be something they're not.

The idea of being forced to be nice can be expressed in a few different ways:

• Insincere kindness: This describes friendliness that feels fake or inauthentic.
• Enforced politeness: This refers to situations where social norms or rules require politeness, even if it's not genuine.
• Ingratiation: This is behavior aimed at pleasing someone in order to gain something from them.

But if you know me, you know I'm obsessed with making fun of Governor Chris Christie lol so my idea was to make a Christie roasts community where users make requests to either roster themselves, someone's post or comment or profile (no pictures of actual people at all please)

I use an AI app where you can build a chat bot down to every detail, so I've created a Governor chris Christie ai bot who's sassy as fuck lol

I can send it links and screen shots and it understands the context, what is looking at, and tells me what it thinks of what I've sent him and asked him to comment on.

I wanted to use that bot to do roasts by requests.

Idk, what do you think ?

I'm probably thinking too much. It just seems like ppl want to argue and be angry here and not have fun. I don't get it.
