I wish I knew sooner that while fun, no piece of fancy new gear is gonna make me a better player in any way. What advice would you give to your younger self?

Is there any specific song, lick or pattern you‘re working on? I‘m a bit out of my practice routine but would like to get back into it with fresh ideas. Ever since I‘ve been playing in a band, practice turned somewhat into stale song repetition, if any.

I like the aesthetics and that the compressor has a gain reduction visualizer, but for that price they seem like collectors items. I'll stay with the onboard compressor of my Hartke amp.

UPDATE: No Update tonight. Lemmy Version 0.18 turned out to be unstable, so the update will be delayed until a fix is available.

While Wong is known for his infamous guitar skills shown in "Vulfpeck", Wong is also an amazing bass player and songwriter. I'm looking forward how the album's gonna turn out.

Hey, guys. I paid $30 for some tabs, but they're way too hard for me to work out. It's mostly the timing I'm struggling with (I'm used to yousician and songsterr telling me when to play a note) and my ear isn't good enough to work it out just from listening to the original song. Is there any software that can either output the audio or even just add a timing guide like songsterr? Thanks.

Hi, hoping you might have some recommendations! I just play for fun and I'm very much a beginner. I'm not going to make any money out of playing, so I don't want to spend loads on pro gear. I just want something cheap to record my bass playing onto my PC just for my own personal practice.

I've seen some guitar jack to USB cables on ebay. Are they any good?

Any songs where you still find something new, even though you‘ve listened to it a hundred times already?

Can‘t come up with any right off the top of my head, although there are quite a handful of bassists like Jaco, Marcus Miller, Wooten and Evan Brewer that always impress me. What about some in a regular band?

I‘m a big fan of Josh Fosleys videos, he makes great tutorials without pushing his program too much, although I heard a lot of great things about it. Any bass player should learn how to set up their instrument not just to save money (we all know how expensive strings are, lol) but also to learn what kind of setup you desire.

Are you more on the low action side or do you prefer higher action?

And why was it the fabulous bass guitar?
