Just finished with a fresh re-install after a few months away from, and updates to the game. Going through my subscriptions to see whats broken or discontinued and came across Skyve instead of Compatibility report tool.

I run Linux so was expecting some issues when I realized Skyve worked with an external app. However I was wrong and pleasantly surprised when it just worked as described.

What a great app! It does everything and does it well. Subscribe, unsub, suggest replacement mods for incompatible ones. The lot!

There's no real point to this post other than to say how impressed I am and to say thanks to anyone involved in making this mod and app combo, if any happen to read this.

Mostly the same as we already saw, but they did show the new upgrade tree! And it looks very in depth, and exciting.

Really thorough review of the latest traffic AI video released. I hadn't noticed there were no rain effects in the video which I also hope is included when released.

ROADS VIDEO IS HERE! (www.youtube.com)

I said it when SC5 was released and I'll say it here. I've been laying pipe for 25 years and I'll be damned if they take that from my cold dead mouse and keyboard. But alas, water, electricity, and poop pipes are now apart of the road system.

New video from the guy who already played Cities Skylines 2 and built the city from trailer.

It's HOT (lemmy.world)

Darn hot here. 32℃ is maybe not much for some people, but it will take some time for me to get used to.

CS1 had game mechanics for cold. You think CS2 eventually gonna get some effects for particularly hot days? In real life crime increases when theres a heat wave. Beaches (and traffic to beaches) fills up. Tourism increases. And many hot days without rain becomes droughts. And chance for forest fires increases. All the air conditioners drains more power, which must be mitigated by having a city with more greens.

Having a few of these mechanics in the game could be fun. Or annoying when roads you never had any plans for gets packed with traffic, of course.

CO has stated there won’t be bicycles on release of CS2. Personally, I’m properly disappointed in that decision. What are your thoughts?

Quite excited about this! I know we have a few posts on this community already dissecting the trailer but I always enjoy Egg's take on things.

I think I'm most excited for the deeper simulation control - and seasons!

Always enjoy Biffa Plays, and he does a good deep dive into what the trailer shows.
