Looking for your personal lists of Github repositories, which might be deleted from Github at some point, for whatever reason. For example, the maintainer might delete his account from Github or archive all his repositories.

A famous example of an open source project, which had trouble to continue thriving, is youtube-dl.

Which projects' repositories do you think are worth backing up?

After learning this I printed off my PhD notes, prelims, and current dissertation.

I think datahoarding isn’t just keeping digital materials but taking care of what we have!

I went on Immich and all of my photos were gone. Luckily it was just a Redis issue because of a sudden shut down. Regardless I backed everything up to another server.

No point it hoarding what’s important if you can’t keep it safe

For me I seed everything I torrent, prefer public trackers when possible for the average user, try to upload to archive.org, and sometimes use soulseek.

Datahoarding is appealing to me because I want to give others access to what matters most to me. I therefore primarily hoard movies, tv shows, and other media torrents on my main server.

I set up an instance of the ArchiveTeam Warrior on my home server with Docker in under 10 minutes. Feels like I'm doing my part to combat removal of information from the internet.
