If you’ve been looking for adding WiFi 7 to your wireless network, but didn’t want to pay for the Eero Max 7, then there is some good news. Eero announced two new systems:

Eero 7 Pro - WiFi 7, 3x3 antennas and 5Gbps Ethernet ports. $300/each

Eero 7 — WiFi 7, 2x2 antennas and 2.5Gbps Ethernet ports. $170/each.

I’m still rocking the WiFi 5 “pros”. I’m tempted to upgrade, but I might be too cheap to pull the trigger right now. 🙂

I'm not seeing much of anything about this online. The usual tech blogs just have a blurb up now, TG was the longest one I could find. Would like to know how many bands it supports and whether there will be any more advanced features added with this.

Not sure if this ever got solved, but I’m running Pihole on my network and eero for gateway, routing, Wi-Fi, and dhcp functions. The gateway address (i.e. 192.168.0.1) is the only one that shows up in the pihole logs.

I have DNS Caching off on my eero configuration, and I’ve got conditional forwarding on on the pihole config.

Anything else I can do to have the individual IPs actually make requests to the pihole without being intercepted by the eero?
