In the coldest home match in FC Cincinnati history, The Orange and Blue kept their cool, stayed red hot on the ball and delivered a revenge win over Philadelphia Union 1-0 in a rematch of the 2022 Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Yerson Mosquera found the match winner in stoppage time, taking a touch on an Ian Murphy header to the center of the box and firing the shot on net past a diving Philadelphia Union goalkeeper. The goal was the Colombian center backs first MLS Cup Playoffs finish and his third for FC Cincinnati across all competitions.

The late goal earned FC Cincinnati their first ever trip to the Eastern Conference Finals where they will take on Columbus Crew on Saturday, December 2nd at TQL Stadium in an all Ohio MLS Cup Eastern Conference Finals showdown.

We seemed a bit quick to want to start fights tonight. I believe while the ref was a bit quick to yellow card a couple of our players, others got lucky.

Moreno could have easily been carded early on. Badji could have gotten a red for his punch.

Otherwise a great game for us, but I hope those yellows don't come back and bite us.

And Barreal gets some loving!

FYI I tried to upload a picture of Barreal kissing who I'm guessing is his girlfiend post match but it did not upload. I'm guessing because image uploads may still not be allowed thanks to those child porn cunts.

So here's a link: https://ibb.co/Vpf5z0C

FC Cincinnati and midfielder Luciano Acosta have agreed on a contract extension through 2026, with an option for 2027, the club announced today. The Orange and Blue’s captain is FC Cincinnati’s all-time leader in both goals and assists in Major League Soccer competition.

“Lucho is a tremendously important player for our team and our club,” said Chris Albright, FC Cincinnati General Manager. “He’s clearly one of the best players in our league, capable of producing the spectacular moments that win you games. His winning mentality, along with his continued growth as a leader and a captain, have allowed Lucho to become the best version of himself. It’s apparent how connected he feels to our city and community, and we’re proud to have Lucho representing FC Cincinnati.”Acosta, 29, was acquired by FC Cincinnati as a Designated Player in March of 2021. Since then, he has appeared in 101 matches across all competitions for the Orange and Blue. Since the beginning of the 2021 season, his 71 regular season goal contributions (31 goals, 40 assists) rank second in the league.
