There have recently been updates for rqd2:

• Synapse is now at the latest version and is once again compatible with all other Matrix homeservers.
• Element is now at the latest version and is compatible with recent Matrix versions.
• Cinny has been discontinued.
• Theater has been discontinued.
• Lemmy has been updated to 0.19.5
• u/postoftheweek now posts the weekly post of the week. It is a bot that has had minimal testing, so there may be problems, but it should hopefully be working on Sundays.
• The featured main "important read post" has been unfeatured and is now linked in the sidebar.

Recently our mods Dee and Folfgirl were promoted from Moderators to Admins. Now that they have access to things, and that the post of the week is automated, I plan on stepping down from the site. I will still admin the server and pay for everything, as I do not intend on discontinuing rqd2 as a whole any time soon, but in order to focus on other things I leave the site in their hands. If they want to hire help and get more people on the team they can do that. If you need anything please reach out to them, it is their decision at that point if they wanna handle it or if they want to delegate it to me.

Why are comments almost never in the thread after you read them once?

I like that RQD2 feels calmer than most or all the other instances I've been in. I also appreciate that there aren't many people here who are more... extreme or express extreme views constantly at least. It gets annoying. RQD2 will also be the main instance I will be hanging around in even if it's not as active as the more popular instances. I'm also thankful that my registration here was also accepted 😊

i've noticed that when new communities are introduced, the posts don't reach most members cuz most people don't regularly check for new commnuities hence i am encouraging folks to subscribe to it, and to make posts to it when you make a new community!

Hello all. I'm FirstFallen, but you can call me Cain. I'm pretty new to Radqueer stuff, but I'm finding that I am agreeing with a lot of Radqueer beliefs.

My pronouns are He/Him and I generally have a habit to lurk or post sparingly.

I'm a MAP, zoo, necro, biastophile, amongst more. I'm transage/agefluid (8-12), but I'm pretty new to other identities, so we'll see how things go.

I don't really care about contact discourse and prefer not to have a contact label.

As much as I'd like to let everyone have the freedom to do what they want, as someone who got doxxed because I was new to the community and didn't understand the weight of importance of internet safety here, we as mods do have the right to delete posts, comments, or the like that have self doxxing info without warning, so please just don't do it.

The mere fact we are in a situation where we feel the need to justify, as transage, transrace, transpecies, transethereal, transbiotic, transvital beings, our support of the Transgender Day of Remembrance is indicative of how much we have been oppressed by those that have taken hold of the only trans identity that has gotten mainstream recognition.

It is thus indicative not of how bad it is to be transgender; only of how bad it is to adapt to the mainstream by dilluting acceptance, by betraying our oppressed brethren.

The Transgender Day of Remembrance shouldn’t be ignored. It should be reclaimed by all, inclusive to the utmost to all those whose identity doesn’t match what has been arbitrarily attributed to them by others.

And while doing so publicly, especially IRL, is largely, at current, dangerous and to some extent near-impossible, we can, and shall, do so on places like here, platforms such as RQD2.

20th November is the TransID Day of Remembrance as far as I’m concerned. Including transgender, but going so much further beyond.

So share stories. Share yourselves. Share the pain, so others can understand it, acknowledge it, live it. So they’ll know what to fight for.

Share also the fiery passion, thirst for betterment, righteous fervour, so you’ll be motivated to do so.

So that one day, we will share the good as well. The hope for increasingly better, and the satisfaction of having seen a situation better than what used to be.

Quite ironic that the poster whines about us while listing a bunch of neopronouns in their pinned post.

One person also fantasizes about doxxing users and hopes that reporting RQD2 will have some effect.

Also considering these people aren’t so smart there’s a possibility they can be tracked through the emails they signed up with by the places like I mentioned and dealt with accordingly

Basically every week I'll look at the top post by score, and pin it to the local home feed for that week, and then after a week I'll unpin it.

The same post can't be pinned twice and posts by admins don't qualify.

I'll be doing this every Sunday (that I remember) at 12 PM PST, so the first one will be in 3 hours!

Just a little incentive to get those up votes in :3
