They supposedly can be disabled in settings- but we all know that won't last. They're going full Microsoft Skype mode and it's only a matter of time.

At least from 2022 they were at 445m Rev, and more recent articles state they're up to 600m+ now from "sources familiar with the matter" if you trust such things from Bloomberg. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-03-07/discord-to-offer-rewards-for-gamers-as-app-seeks-profit-in-2024
