How does that work with accessibility laws? I wish there was just a scribed button I could press to read the whole video instead of having to pause constantly

My guess would be that they prioritize CC for news

I don't recall watching news clips without CC; though I usually watch them via YouTube (well, Piped/Yattee but same same)
