MODERATORS
It was way better than github for a long time. But the Era of Zero Interest Loans died of CoVID. So capital instructed them to focus on enterprise monetization because thats where the guaranteed money is. They'll make money off of all the companies that are already locked in. But they won't get anyone new so they'll go the way of SourceForge eventually.
Microsoft could easily be running GitHub at a loss and it be worth it to maintain market dominance. GitHub is the Microsoft Office for programmers and both are basically critical infrastructure for the economy.
