Tesla do per-cell cooling and the round shape offers more surface area for that

A cylinder has the least surface area per unit volume of any extruded shape

Generally that's true, but in this case it's about a flat surface vs curved

That still doesn’t change anything, unless tesla is only cooling one side of the cell for whatever reason
