Anything similar to Piper at the Gates of Dawn? (lemmy.ml)

There's an itch that Piper at the Gates of Dawn scratches that almost nothing else can. Something about the whimsical tunes, fun sound effects, and Syd's vocal delivery was so unique when I first listened but I can't really find anything similar. Some Sgt Peppers and other Beatles songs do, but looking for other recommendations. Doesn't need to be 60s, but I'd be surprised to find out anyone is making that kind of music today.

Not 100% the same, but After Bathing at Baxter's made a pretty similar impression on me.
