Endless Scrolling (kbin.social)

One thing that I've always liked is the endless scrolling. IDK if there's a way to endlessly scroll through magazines but maybe that would make it more like reddit /r/all ... Because I would almost always go there and scroll for thousands of pages.

Even on sites that I've developed, I've gotten rid of the pagination. Unless it's something completely stupid, I just allow the user to scroll and feed in the results below the fold...

As long as it is an option you can toggle. I much prefer pagination for most things.

It kinda breaks my head that some people would PREFER doomscrolling. I always thought of it as a cheap psychological trick by designers to keep eyes on ads.

I mean, a lot of people use this platform/any other platform as a way to use up 'empty time'. I'm not doing anything useful anyway, might as well get distracted by semi-interesting news.

There already is an option to turn endless scroll on/off - it's in the settings menu on the side of the screen (hit the little gear icon).

Noice. Thanks. I also found where the themes are at lol.

For sure. I hate how most sites do infinite scrolling. When I go "back" what I really want is to return to my previous view, even if that's 1000 posts deep (that's actually a pretty wasteful action, which is again why I prefer pagination).
