You describing their goals to them will not shame them like you hope. You're validating them. You hear them loud and clear, we all do. When we think we're "pointing out the problem" we're just enumerating their to-do list. They point at things like universal healthcare, gun reform, worker's rights, and DEI the same way. We don't see any issue with listing our wants either.

There's no point talking to them. They've made their choice. They're beyond saving. Facts don't matter if you've made up your mind.

Oh I know. I'm not really talking to them, I'm talking about them.

They have a completely different set of values, one not based on morality but instead in power.

They believe everything in politics is zero-sum: if there is a liberation movement or somebody gets a right recognized that should have been all along they see it as a loss for those who have privilege.

There is a reactionary streak running through all of American history: from the slaveholders who went to war to defend their human property to the America First movement in the 30's to the KKK's terror campaigns all the way through the neo-cons and the MAGA fascists.

There's a reason why they want to confuse the issue, and my policy is that when reactionaries tell you what they don't like there's a reason to keep doing it; It's why they banned the word "fascist" here for a while: they know what they are, but don't want it said aloud.

When they play by the rules, they lose. That's why they attack voting rights with their gerrymandering, voter de-registration, and limited polling sites. Rejecting democratic processes is how the party will continue living. As for this little corner of the Internet? They think they can set the rules to only allow positive conservative news and topics. But democracy wins again and all the up voted articles highlight conservative shortcomings. There isn't a conservative opinion in here with a positive score but that's just another election they want to control.

Republicans are a joke. Just a bunch of uneducated pro fascists that think everyone is beneath them who doesn't support Trump. All they care for is "owning libs", "muh guns", "muh religion" and skittering about to justify every single fucked up thing Trump has done. There is no accountability. They hate the democrats and their politics so much they are willing to prop their twice impeached, rapist and convicted on 34 counts felon candidate up to extreme heights. Trump can literally walk up to them, slaughter their family and still, they'd vote for him. They don't understand why they're a cult. They don't understand that Donald Trump and the GoP are actual, real fascists. All that matters is owning the libs and beating the democrats. They are first in line to bash the LGBTQ and yet they still rub one out to two woman going at it in bed. They do not understand the gravity of the Trump situation either. All that matters is that their precious leader gains office.

In b4 "lul I'm not reading all that"

We know, trust me. That's part of the problem.
