Part of the reason conservatives are so obsessed with policing the lives of others is that doing so is the only context in which they're "allowed" to think about these taboo things. As long as they carry the shield of hate in their heart, they can go back to thinking and talking about it again and again and again. No, no, they're not obsessed with gayness because they like it or want to fantasize about it, noooo, they are just really into virtue and purity. /s 🙄
