I recently noticed a Finch that seems to be suffering from this, which really broke my heart. I looked it up and have taken down and washed the feeders. I'm posting to ask if chikadees can get this as well. I've looked all over but they mostly mention doves and so forth. Some of the chikadees still visit to see if the feeder is back, and I can't tell if one is just fat or if she's sick. I know I wouldn't be able to do anything, but I'd like to know if I should be looking at them as carriers as well.

spoiler

Please remember this little Finch. It breaks my heart that I can't help her and I'm surprisingly devesated about this random bird.

I'm sorry to hear @2ugly2live@lemmy.world, that is really devastating. I don't know much about this, but I stumbled across this blog post with some advice if that helps.
