Do not splash water on Everett True (September 30, 1921)
(lemmy.world)
A place to appreciate the twentieth century comic character Everett True of "The Outbursts of Everett True." Feel free to check out the sticky.
Gotta admit, I wave water off my hands. Those air-dryers are too loud and the no-touch towel dispensers only work like half the time.
Newer suggestion is to flick the water into the sink before toweling.
Yep, people should deffo flick water off more often. I watched a TEDx talk about how to completely dry your hands with a single shitty paper towel, and one of the key points the dude made was to flick as much water off as possible before touching a towel. I think he said to flick down into the sink 12-15 times, but I might be wrong. I don't do everything the guy said, but the flicking part is great.
EDIT: this is the talk: https://youtu.be/2FMBSblpcrc
i watched the same tedx talk a while ago and never looked back. flicking is the best.
This talk ruined me, because now I can perfectly dry my hands with one towel but have to stand there watching some schmuck pull 15 and pat his mitts down for two seconds before chucking the whole wad.
You guys do realize this was all a metaphor right
I mean, yeah, but why talk about the metaphor when we can eagerly share hand washing strategies‽
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, here's how to dry your hands...
