That's the issue I think. Liberals will argue that he had to sign the bill because America can't survive any principled stand whatsoever. So if Democrats think that trans people are an acceptable loss, what are the rest of us going to do about it?
They're a tiny percentage. But this is very much a "first they came for the trans" situation.
Yeah, I took this from the original post screenshot as well. But I got the impression that u/Clent is unironically trying to say that the Democrats aren't at fault here, and I was very confused as to why they would express that in this post, or why it had positive upvotes.
Actually, it's kind of weird that there's a lot of "Ha! It'll be worse under the Republicans, you'll see!" comments on this post that is very uncomfortable, especially when the original post specifically talks about needing cis-allyship in these times...
