I had a nice weechat config once, then it was broken. Did they stabilize? their deprecation policy seemed extreme for something that I wanted to set and forget.

I think so... I haven't had too much breakage in the last couple years. The only one that I can think of is when they changed the ssl options to tls with the move to v4.0.0. Otherwise, upgrading has been trouble-free.
