For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.

No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.

Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.

To get your head around this you must first understand that the haters see transsexuals, homosexuals, etc., as having made a choice. By stamping on those people, they are preventing others from making what they see as a life ruining decision.

Hell, you can see it in this very post. To Musk, Xavier was suckered into being trans by woke people.

There's much more to unpack regarding the hate which I won't get into, but the belief in choice is the starting point.

The logic still doesn't track though. Even if it was a choice, who cares?

People are making choices to murder people, poison the drinking water, rape the weak, spread prion diseases, and strip your rights. But I hear nothing from the same exact people screaming about trans - which has no effect on your living conditions.

Like we really need to stop trying to rationalize these people. They are seriously worthless scum until they start speaking in good faith - which they won't because they can't rationalize misplaced fear.

All of the wedge issues are like that too. Abortion, social justice, guns all directly impact a relatively small number of people. However people have very serious opinions on those things that go to the very core of their character and partly define who they are, so they're used to divide the majority into smaller groups. So we don't gain class consciousness and realize what the problem actually is.

I just find it extremely interesting that these same people (which is a majority of the voting bloc) do not have serious opinions on infrastructure, lawlessness, security, and water pollution. These are all more pressing and immediate issues - but the trans girl had more of an effect on their vote than literal heavy metals poisoning their water.

Don't give a shit about logic. I'm explaining their thought process. Which isn't about logic. Which is why you can't get your head around it.

As to "who cares"? They care because they think degenerates are influencing their kids and culture. And we're back to the "choice" thing.

You're trying to logic your way around my post and their thoughts. Ain't gonna work.

We agree here, but the word "process" implies consistency. If there is no consistency, then it is just hysteria or maliciousness - both of which are inexcusable.

As I said prior, we agree so, it is pointless to reason with the hysterical, malicious, and stupid. But why are we not referring to them as what they are?

To say it another way, stupid cannot be explained (that's the whole point) - so why explain it? It makes it seem as if there is some form of depth to their thoughts (there isn't) - which rationalizes them. Every time we do that, we waste more of our limited resources.
