I'm still using it even with ads, so I'm glad they're still alive. Idk why, though. What features do we even lack?
I hate it doesn't have algorithms to recommend some new subreddit or whatever it's called here and that it doesn't show more the subreddits that I visit most often, I'm tired of seeing so many r/worldnews or wtv, I want to see less posts of it and because it was being annoying, I ended up unsubscribing. I go to reddit more often because of this

That looks like something for the backend, and not something I'd expect a client to do. If you're not interested in a community you could consider blocking it. There's also some room for experimentation with the various storting methods.
Yeah I don't understand that part, I'm not really into software engineering, more like "classic" computer science
