  • If you hide a post, it is marked as hidden on the server, and it should not appear again on your feed. Make sure that the option Show hidden in the top right overflow menu is unchecked.
  • If a post is marked as read, it is marked as read on the server, and it should not appear again if Show read posts is unchecked for your account in Settings - Account preferences. Make sure to save the settings with the button "Save" before leaving the screen.

Both options only work for logged in users.

The update is available, please let me know if you find any issues.

It also fixes random crashes when loading feeds.

Thanks!

It should be fixed in new version 1.0.30

Some users are experiencing the same issue on mobile and web https://sh.itjust.works/post/48482678

Do you mark many posts as read and have the "Show read posts" disabled? Are you blocking any instances?

I even registered an account on lemmy.zip and I wasn't able to reproduce it :(

[–] rmayayo@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago (7 children)

Sorry if it was already answered, but does it happen when browsing as guest too?

[–] rmayayo@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago (9 children)

Could you give some steps to reproduce? Instance, feed and sort, and most important, the timeout error message. Thanks

Sorry I missed this post. I will try to replicate the issue.

Check the following:

  • Boost version is 1.0.24-28
  • Settings - General - Internal YouTube Player is checked
  • Setting - Advanced - Links - Links to open in app - Youtube is checked

Thanks!

Could you detail what happens after you click on a youtube video?

[–] rmayayo@lemmy.world 7 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Fixing this, thanks for reporting

[–] rmayayo@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Fixed in 1.0.24

Another workaround is closing the keyboard and pressing the full screen icon in the reply field

A fresh update is here! This release brings initial support for PieFed. The PieFed API is still under development, so some features are limited, but here’s what’s new:

  • Support for PieFed (limited while the API evolves)
  • Notifications for new activity on communities, posts, comments, or users on PieFed
  • View topics and feeds

Give it a try and let me know how it works for you!

🚀 Boost for Lemmy 1.0.16 is out now!

What’s new in version 1.0.16:

  • A baby chick emoji 🐣 now appears next to usernames of accounts less than one week old.
  • Moderators can now see the vote counts on posts and comments within the communities they moderate.
  • Fixed an issue that was preventing images from being downloaded or shared.

Thanks for using Boost and supporting the Lemmy ecosystem!
