Donald’s not going to last 3 years neither is Putin. Both have moved across the 70 line and putin has cancer. Donald is progressing in dementia. By summer any attempt at war will be offset by massive global fires. And those are going to be so much worse in the US now that they isolated. This was possibly the dumbest time for them to isolate and play dictatorship games considering how much closer they are to the equator.

The problem is - and this is how Canada sees it - Trunp is a useful idiot out who represents an overall imperialist urge of the US that will continue after Trump is gone. After Trump, someone (Vance or someone else) will continue his insane maga policies. Canada can have no part in that other than the minimum interaction. Forever.

Correct, anything short of a civil war in the USA and subsequent re writing of their constitution to provide some guarantees there will always be adults supervising their government, Canada and the rest of the world cannot trust the USA again

Trump is too dumb to realise this but he single handedly destroyed the USA. By the time the persistent global boycott is felt, the USA would be in such disarray, nothing will work internally. And any relationship with the USA in the future would price in the risk of another betrayal

Adults supervising the government...sounds like monarchy to me!

It's an expression Americans came up with to explain it was OK to have a lunatic as President

It's supposed to mean there are checks and balances so one deranged president doesn't, I don't know, collapse the economy applying tariffs like he drinks coke

Diet Coke. He is a health guru, don't forget
