I'm not sure I like that he succeeded at giving himself up, I was waiting when something will happen that will set him free till the very end. Some of the changes I like, this is one of those that I don't. But so far the show has been solid, so I'm not giving up on it just yet.

And Maksim is fine, the actor and character is likable. And I actually like Alanna in the show which I definitely don't in the books.

Same. I really disliked Alanna in the books but in the show she's pretty awesome. And Maxsim is great too. I really hope they don't kill him off to make room for a forced bonding.
