Republicans have complained about being held accountable in the courts for decades. This is all part of the plan. The SCOTUS justices are set for life regardless, and this was their mission.

Set for life, but a more humble life than they were living before, as those ~~bribes~~ gifts dry up.

No need for oligarchs to fuss with a neutered SCOTUS when the supreme power of POTUS is on sale.
