He was the least bad pope in recent history, whoever replaces him will almost guaranteed be worse in every respect.

I read that he had a hand in selecting the new crop of Pope Pickers so here's hoping the next one is in the same vein.

It would be a small miracle if they select someone who had anywhere near as progressive a view as he did about Palestine, the war in Ukraine, or any other issue for that matter. Perhaps Latin Christo-fascism will get it's way, it's looking grim.
