MODERATORS

Mining magnate Gina Rinehart is urging politicians to shift further to the right and adopt US President Donald Trump’s polices as she blames voters and the “left media” for the Coalition’s disastrous election result.

I honestly wonder if she just wants to ruin everything for her own benefit, or she is actually lost in the sauce.

What's her thinking here? Try and get some of the ~8% from One Nation/Trumpettes?

By shifting right, there's a risk more Libs from the centre jump ship to teal or something else?

She lives in a bubble. Same as Bolt, who also blamed the voters. They've removed themselves from the mainstream, and can't fathom the masses thinking fundamentally different from them.

Even a walloping with the clue stick, like what happened on Saturday, isn't enough to shake their faith that they're right. That's why they blame the media, the left, the immigrants, anyone but themselves.

On Sky News, Peta Credlin said the Liberals should’ve leaned more into the culture wars. In quick retort Murray Watt welcomed her strategy. They’re in denial.

They think they didn't lean into the culture wars?

I’m pretty sure that all the other parties would welcome the Liberals leaning into the mythical Culture Wars.

It would make it so much easier to eradicate them from our political landscape.
