I just don't get why you'd be on board with death penalty at all.

What does it solves exactly?

It's so abusable and there's no take back... I feel it's mostly an emotional solution to material issues... It also has been proven to not have a detering effect.

It's mostly the same as torture. Ineffective, abusable, permanent.

I'm not saying this as an attack or something, I'm just genuinely puzzled at any kind of support to death penalty.

This is a very legitimate concern. I support the death penalty in revolutionary situations where it is necessary (I.e. disciplining wreckers and traitors in an active conflict). I think in societies like the US, it is entirely morally reprehensible and is a form of white supremacist violence.
