I started playing in 2005, and my first/main was a boomkin (still play him in TWW). I was pretty interesting leveling through vanilla as balance. On the one hand, they got a lot of crap because they didn't do anything as well as other classes. On the other hand, paired with my wife's hunter, we got through an awful lot of content because of the flexibility of the class.
