  • In December, an investigation by Tom's Hardware found that Recall frequently captured sensitive information in its screenshots, including credit card numbers and Social Security numbers — even though its "filter sensitive information" setting was supposed to prevent that from happening.

I don't exactly remember what I said, but I have to say I wouldn't call Linux as a whole truly cult-like. Additionally, I agree Arch is too complicated to set up, but also that Microsoft is doing intolerable things with Windows.

However, some Linux distros do not have reasonable developers. It's one thing to say Arch is complicated, that is true. It's another for the developer of a niche distro like bazzite to refuse to explain the reasoning of a design choice and tell you "drop it or we ban you" for seemingly no reason.

It's not the only time I've seen this happen, nor are the other instances of such limited to me personally; apparently GrapheneOS has a paranoid(?) developer who is convinced that a youtuber who used to use that OS was a government spy. I say this as someone who still uses Graphene OS, that does not encourage people to be kind and courteous when you refuse to even just say "it's easier said than done, not going to happen" to someone requesting a feature.

As a result, I apologize genuinely for what I may have accused you of, just please don't snap at me now that I've done so like that bazzite developer; I'm sorry, I shouldn't have snapped at you.

Nah, you're good. Thanks for responding. Yeah, I agree some projects are better than others when it comes usability or asking for reasoning for design choices, and the like. Sorry that mods deleted your post - I didn't report it.

Have a good one!
