It is clear that cartographyanarchy will be moving to another instance to survive, and I will also need to create a new Lemmy account. First, let us have a moment of silence for lemm.ee, and then a second moment of silence for whatever unfortunate instance we move to.

Alright thank you.

I will be taking steps to make this transition as smooth and obnoxious as possible.

First, I will of course have a new meep_launcher account. This doesn't effect anyone but I wanted to say this to remind everyone I exist and to fill that pit in my soul that can only be filled with constant adoration and attention.

Second, I will set up another community of the same name, taking care to preserve the essence of what we have here while burning any and all incriminating evidence.

Third, you will expect a stickied post to redirect to the new community in the new instance that never asked for this.

Fourth, I will call open season on posting, reposting, and filling the new community with any and all maps that are found here. I'm much more concerned with the community building back up as soon as possible over whatever fake internet points people have accrued. Please, take all my memes, I'm not going to go through the trouble to try and move everything over. We can come back to this instance when it is locked later to remember the good ol' days.

Fifth, I will make a strong drink to unwind. Hell, comment if you'd be interested in joining me, I can set up time to do a lil' video hangout to celebrate the transition so long as we are the good kind of weird.

My plan is to get this done by Sunday June 8th, 11:43 Pacific Standard Time. Is that my time zone? No, but I miss Seattle.

IF THIS DOESN'T GET DONE IN TIME

I requested to be drawn and quartered, and someone else, preferably from our mod team, can take up the torch. I'm always happy to lead when I can, but I rely on this community to drag my body across the finish line.

Anyway, it's been an honor to make maps with you, and here's to a thousand year reign of terror going forward.
