Works fine if you've got Proton VPN set up as a gateway at your router.

Cool idea, I almost forgot this feature even exists. I think I dismissed it the past when I realized it's probably not going to be easy to switch VPN servers this way.

It's actually not bad. All the setup is the same except the IPs, so you can just add/change those. They're replicated across 5 ports per server, so that's a little annoying, but it's still just easy copy paste.
