my partner got it for me to play with and it's been pretty fun, it's basically like what if someone made Half Life 1 in 2025 but Gordon Freeman also needed to sleep in an office somewhere and find a place to poop. And it's 1-6 player co-op

I generally don't care for the whole survival crafting thing, but Abiotic Factor slaps. You're basically trapped in Half Life 1 Black Mesa and are surviving by scavenging inside the facility. There is a story and progression.

The big 1.0 release update is at the end of this month which is supposed to bring the ending to the main plot so now is a good time to get in.

Yeah my partner is the same way, she only liked Raft because of the story and island exploration. She needs direction to give a shit about the survival mechanics. She kinda liked Grounded, but so far she's enjoying this a lot more.

Thanks for the tip! I might have to check out Raft. But yeah, at this point, I've done all the aimless survival crafting I care to do. I need some kind of plot or objective beyond just engaging with the game's crafting mechanics.
