I just listened to this and I was interested to hear the takes of people here. I’ve heard other eps with seeking derangements. It was fun at first but the episodes are just taken over by Jacques and the court jester act. Worse when Menaker isn’t there to tether the show to some semblance of reality.

I always find the seeking derangements crossovers really boring, they just come off as really vapid, just some of the worst twitterati drama I couldn't care about. I dunno if they're better on their own podcast. I also just don't really like Hesse that much, ever since she fucked with JoCat that one time.

Seeking Derangements is absolutely vain and gossipy, largely without any greater aim or subject matter. I love it very much.

I’m with you, the discussion always seems to devolve into a conversation about their sex lives and their own perceived attractiveness. They just take over the discussion and dominate it with things that aren’t even that funny. I can’t imagine their podcast has any actual meat in it given what they talk about, I imagine these crossovers are just a brooklyn clique thing.
