Completely agree! I was a lurker on Reddit. I’m trying to be more active here. It seems less intimidating than Reddit.

I've been on Reddit since 2011 and modern reddit is way too intimidating even for me. Some communities like ShowerThoughts have effectively become possible to even post in, and others that used to be nice are now hyper moderated.
@CybrRunnr @bitsplease In my case, reddit is only useful to me as a means to exchange technology information, ideas, and support. Well, I do enjoy the anti-capitalist and anarchy related subs. But even in those subs there can be snark and cyberbullying. The decentralized nature of the fediverse does make bullying harder because all somebody needs to do is change instances to hide.
