Ignoring fascists and other bad actors does not stop them from doing bad things and/or radicalizing others. This is a common complaint I see in online communities, and it's a flawed strategy that is a good way to lose ground to bad actors.

For the libs: I understand that hearing about current events involving bad actors that upset you may be annoying but please don't report them for that reason.

For the fascists: kill yourselves. You know what you're doing.

Nobody can tell what your motivation is online but the affect is still the same.

Here is a video essay that explains why ignoring fascists doesn't work. The entire alt-right playbook is worth a watch btw.

Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

A lot of people on both sides of the political divide could stand to step out of their echo chambers and learn to think for themselves.

"centerists" too, but then they're alright included in "both sides" because they're by and large on the right

I'll update it to Disinterested Americans. That would be much more accurate. Doesn't have the same zeal though.

Some people care a whole lot about not caring and care about making sure other people care as little as possible. galaxy-brain

Like you, surely. You are immune to any such illusions and are a special chosen one of epic destiny, unlike people that care too much about political issues. very-intelligent

Exactly! If everyone were more like me then we'd all get along!

That's true for me, but I've learned recently that's actually neurodivergence. A quality meme nonetheless.
