This game was on everybody's naughty list. And that's why everyone wanted to play it. It's not the best racing game, with floaty handling, and moon inspired physics, but it was amazing with it's localized damage model, and the option to win a race not by racing fast, but destroying your opponents or even killing every pedestrian on the map (but who had the time and/or patience for that?)

If you had A Voodoo card this game would look even better, with full 3D acceleration.

I still recall a fateful afternoon in my early teens where I spent around 6h playing Carmaggedon. Not the actual play session but the weird feeling I had afterwards while I was eating dinner. It felt like I was not supposed to be playing that game and "killing" all those people; I felt somewhat hollow...

Only to finish dinner and go back at it (๐Ÿ‘ อœส–๐Ÿ‘)
