SDDM finally sees a new release!
(github.com)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Oh, you have no idea how tired I am of logging out before shutting down.
Happy for this!
I hate that bug so much... If you forget to log out however, you can hit ctrl-alt-f1 to switch to the x session, which frees up the shutdown.
I actually did not know this! I didn't even think the X session was still alive after getting stuck at "Waiting for User session" blah blah.
This thread just enlightened me too! It's been one of those things that I've always thought "I gotta look into why it's doing this" but I never did because it just never made it up my priority list. Happy to find this post and looking forward to the update!
