is it worth upgrading my weapons at the blacksmith or should I save my materials? (lemmy.ml)

I'm using a melee rogue with double daggers and have been upgrading them as I lvl up. Is this a good approach or would I be better off saving the materials for later on and using the weapons as-is?

Right now my weapons are in the 300 range and the upgrades do seem modest. Maybe I'll hold off unless I find I'm a little underpowered but this build deals out so much damage that I don't think that will be a problem.
